Summit County (US-UT) - Art Pianos for All - 5 pianos

Summit County (US-UT) 1 piano

Summit County, Utah, United States – just 30 Miles east of Salt Lake City – has been hosting Art Pianos for All since May 2012. Since then it became a virtually never-ending Public Piano Party ever since throughout Summit County.

About the Pianos In 2012, a 60-year-old piano had been sitting in a garage for years before its owner donated the instrument to Summit County. The first piano in Park City was repainted in different hues of blue to reflect the Jazz and Blues era in music and put on display at the lobby of the Transit Center behind Park City’s Main Street. Initial 2012 piano repainted in different hues of blue to reflect the Jazz and Blues era in music and put on display at the lobby of the Transit Center behind Park City’s Main Street.

Next, meet the 2012 Hummingbird piano: Then fast forward to October 2020: We’ve counted numerous pianos over the years – but, shame on us, never played any of them yet – Summit County will continue to maintain the remaining 5 pianos located at: Kimball Junction Transit Center Kimball Junction Library Ledges Event Center City Hall in Coalville the Aquatic Center and Library in Kamas

About this USA Venue/Event Since their latest (and unluckily, perhaps last) call-out for art-worked pianos in May 2018, one of the original founders stepped away from the project: Thanks to all of you for over 7 great years of Art Pianos for All. I've decided to move on to my next art project… Posted by Art Pianos For All on Thursday, May 2, 2019 … leaving the maintenance of the remaining pianos in the hands of Summit County itself.

About the Organizer Art Pianos for All is a local non-profit group seeking to bring back the piano as a centerpiece of music, community, art and fun in Park City and Summit County, Utah. Artist decorated pianos are placed in public areas to be played and enjoyed by all. Supported by the Park City Public Art Advisory Board, the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board, the Park City Rotary Club, the Harry F.

Reed Memorial Foundation and individual donors. We surely hope to play their remaining pianos one day!
