Luxembourg (LU) - My Urban Piano 2021 - expect 23 pianos - dates TBC

(2021 disclaimer: Whether we like it or not, Covid-19 changed the world in numerous ways. Our 2021 prediction presumes returning to some sort of normality, based on this event’s long history. To the best of our abilities, we’ll follow Public Piano announcements as well as general pandemic updates.) After the canceled 2020 event due to Covid-19, this will be the actual 7th edition of the Luxemburg event, building up towards their annual Fete de la Musique.

We’ve played their city back in 2014 and it was well worth the visit! As part of “My Urban Piano”, public pianos are set up all over the city: anyone can sit down and play a tune. The aim is to encourage people to gather around the pianos to make and enjoy music together.

The pianos were decorated by youth centres, childcare centres, schools and clubs from Luxembourg City. This project was a resounding success and is now an annual fixture in the city’s cultural programme.
