Denver (US-CO) - Your Keys to the City 2021 - expect 5 pianos - dates TBC

(2021 disclaimer: Whether we like it or not, Covid-19 changed the world in numerous ways. Our 2021 prediction presumes returning to some sort of normality, based on events history. To the best of our abilities, we’ll follow Public Piano announcements as well as general pandemic updates.) This event is pre-scheduled for 2021 under the assumption that Covid-19 will spoil the 2020 edition of Denver, Colorado, United States – Your Keys to the City.

The program runs since 2009 and might face a one-year pause, sadly enough!

About the Pianos We haven’t had the pleasure yet to play any of their pianos, but we definitely will when in the neighborhood! People are encouraged to enjoy each piano’s unique art or take a seat and perform – from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily – weather permitting. The pianos on display are repainted each year by local artists of all ages including students from Denver public schools.

About this USA Venue/Event These pianos are part of an annual program “Your Keys to the City”. It began in 2009 inspired by Play Me I’m Yours in the UK. Since then it’s a yearly celebration for the Denver community coming out of winter hibernation.

About the Organizer This piano and art program is managed by the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District (BID) that encourages residents employees and visitors in Downtown Denver to spend some time exploring the sights and sounds of the 16th Street Mall in new and different ways. Bottom line: We look forward to play Denver one day ourselves! Stay safe, have fun playing!
