(An Aztec Ruins National Monument theme graces a piano painted by Timithy Gordon) Aztec Painted Pianos (“Big Sound in a Small Town“) features 6 Public Pianos in Aztec, New Mexico, United States, as from mid August 2020. We’re delighted to see those pianos are stil around and playable!

About the Pianos Anyone interested in playing one of the pianos is encouraged to show up and do so, she said, singling out one group in particular. Children who have always been told not to touch the piano can now touch six pianos! 🙂 Pianos are located at: 550 Brewing Taproom, 119 E. About this USA Venue/Event Aztec is the county seat of, San Juan County, New Mexico, United States. More tourist info HERE, sorry to say we never visited New Mexico before, yet…! Aztec Painted Pianos is a public art project combining music and art in the form of playable pianos painted in attractive scenes and colorful designs.

About the Organizer Painted Pianos — Big Sound in a Small Town is the brainchild of Aztec City Commissioner Rosalyn Fry, inspired by the Public Pianos in Portland, Oregon. We certainly look forward to visit Aztec, New Mexico one day and play tickle their ivories!
